Brownies Colours, a jazz quintet with a strong world music influence, is the latest musical project from jazz trumpeter and composer Rob Bruynen. A native of the Netherlands, the trumpeter and all-round musician has already been on his musical way with well-known colleagues and ensembles from around the world for around 25 years. During this time, freedom, creativity and spirituality in music have become increasingly important to Rob Bruynen. His compositions reflect his multi-cultural interests and his curiosity about the unknown.
"Space for All" is the spirited expression of this philosophy on music and life. Together with Jens Neufang (arabian woodwinds, saxophone, clarinet, flute), Gero Körner (keyboards, piano, programming), Alexander Boerner (bass), Jeff Herr (drums, percussion) and guest Afra Mussawisade (ethnic percussion), Rob Bruynen serves up a spectacular, varied and colourful menu.
