What do the "Queen of the Night" (Mozart) and "Pirate Jenny" (K. Weill/B. Brecht) have in common, apart from the fact that thay are both "Unbeschreiblich Weiblich" (indescribably feminine) (M. Präker /N. Hagen)?
What connects a Dutch jazz singer and children's television star, an American soprano, a German-Dutch chanteur and cabaret artist, and a northern Spanish folk singer (one could continue this illustrious line-up even further), apart from the fact that all those mentioned above have a proven and extraordinary singing potential?
The answer to the riddle? Konrad Koselleck and his Big Band!
Born in Germany, Koselleck has made Amsterdam his new home for many years. His musical ability on the trumpet had already appeared in his childhood. As a teenager he switched to the piano which he remained faithful to during his studies in Hilversum. He immediately followed this course with study at the Amsterdam Conservatory as an arranger and composer.

Together with his big band, he adapted the traditional line-up of pop, rock, theater music, oriental sounds and classical music, and gathered together the crème de la crème of international vocalists and singers in all styles. What unites them is their desire and their virtuosity, and also the opportunity to go beyond the boundaries of their own genres and chance something new together.
Daring? Madness? Perhaps both, but Koselleck always pays homage to the original composers and gives them their due respect! And if musically he appears to put Mozart's "Queen of the Night" into the leather outfit of a rock-chick, the vocals of soprano Claron McFadden are clad in lace...
